Based upon established criteria for membership, Central Hinds Academy students may be selected for membership in three honor societies: Mu Alpha Theta, the National Honor Society, and the Science National Honor Society.

In addition grades, leadership, service, and character are included criteria for evaluating potential members, and a prospective member must have completed ten hours of community service. Senior members with all dues current, a 3.7 required GPA, and required community service hours will receive a National Honors Society cord at Senior Class Day and will wear the cord at the graduation ceremony.
