| UCA Cheer Camp Awards | Congratulations to our 2009-2010 Cheerleaders for their accomplishments and awards at UCA Cheer Camp at The Beach Club Resort in Gulf Shores, AL.

| Hinds County 4H Judging Team Wins National Title | | We would like to congratulate the Hinds County 4H Horse Judging Team on winning the National Title which was held in Denver, Colorado the first week of January 2010. The team was made up of four girls, one of which was a Central Hinds student - Robyn Soignier!! Congratulations Robyn! |

| Hinds County 4H Livestock Show 2010 | Central Hinds Academy had many students participating in the 4H Hinds County Livestock show. Among the many winners were Pate and Lauren DeMuth with the Champion Suffolk lamb, Champion and Reserve Champion Hampshire lambs, and the Champion Crossbred lamb. Marley Gill claimed a champion title with her Shropshire entry. Pate DeMuth won Grand Champion with his Suffolk lamb.
Jessica Rinehart claimed the Simmental Reserve Champion Heifer as well as the Champion Simmental Bull honors. She also claimed the Grand Champion Beef Breeding Bull honor. John Mark Kirby took top honors for his Champion Hereford Heifer. In the Commercial Heifer Show Justin Kirby took Roserve Champion honors in the English division. In the European division Peyton Banes took the Champion title and Kayleigh Graham earned the Reserve Champion title. In the Brahman division Taylor McNair was awarded Champion and Cassidy Siimpson was awarded Reserve Champion honors. Peyton's European heifer went on to win Grand Champion and Kayleigh's European heifer took Reserve Grand Champion. Peyton's commercial heifer went on to be named Supreme Champion Beef Breeding animal.
In the European steer division Taylor McNair took Champion honors and also Grand Champion honors. Carly Stocks was awarded Reserve Champion honors and also Reserve Grand Champion Steer honors.
In the Showmanship events Marley Gill took first in the 16-18 year old lamb division. Also placing in the top five in showmanship were Andrew Lay, Wes Neely, Anna Claire Lay, Pate DeMuth, and Robyn Soignier.
In the Lamb Show Robyn and Tyler Soignier won the Champion Hampshire breed, Marley Gill won the Reserve Champion Shropshire Breed and Carly Stocks won the Champion Crossbred breed. Carly's lamb went on to be named the Reserve Grand Champion Market Lamb.
