BURGER KING Scholarship Burger King is sponsoring $1,000 scholarships for eligible high school seniors. Log on at www.bk.com/scholars to apply. You must: • Have a GPA of 2.5 or higher • Work part-time an average of 15 hours per week, 40 weeks per year • Be actively involved in community service activities • Demonstrate financial need • Plan to enroll in an accredited college, university, or vocational/technical school by the fall of 2008. LOWE'S Scholarship: Eligibility Requirements The Lowe’s Scholarship is open to all high school seniors who plan to attend any accredited 2-year or 4-year college or university within the United States. Winners are selected based on leadership qualities, community involvement and academic performance. Three hundred fifty-two $1,000 scholarships across the United States. Twenty-two $5,000 regional scholarships to the most outstanding applicant from each Lowe's US region. One $15,000 national grand prize scholarship to the best overall applicant.

The Mississippi Council of Cooperatives is sponsoring six $1,000 senior college scholarships and four $500 community college scholarships ot graduating seniors. Recipients will be selected based on financial need, scholastic achievement, and extracurricular activities. Special emphasis will be placed on financial need. Deadline April 15! Below are 3 types of financial aid that are available on this website.
MTAG – Mississippi Resident Tuition Assistance Grant Program · Must be a resident of Mississippi for one year prior to enrollment · Must attend university or college in Mississippi full-time · Available to all majors · Receive less than the full Federal Pell Grant as determined by the completion of the FAFSA · Must not receive any combination of student financial aid, including MTAG, in excess of the cost of attendance or financial need as established by the institution. · Must have 2.5 GPA and 15 ACT · Award dependent on availability of funds and may be prorated · Complete the online web application and have all supporting documents on file with the MS Office of Student Financial Aid by the deadline date of September 15th. · Maximum grant per academic year: * $500 – freshmen & sophomores * $1,000 – juniors & seniors
MESG – Mississippi Eminent Scholars Grant Program · Must be a resident of Mississippi for one year prior to enrollment in college and provide MESG supporting documents. · Must attend university or college in Mississippi full-time · Available to all majors · First time freshmen must have a cumulative 3.50 GPA on a 4.00 scale after a minimum of seven semesters. · Have scored a minimum of 29 on the ACT. Scores resulting from the national testing of the ACT are the only accepted scores for state eligibility. Residual test scores are not acceptable. · A minimum score of 1280 on the SAT I test may be substituted for the minimum of 29 on the ACT. · A semi-finalist or finalist in the National Merit Scholarship competition is not required to have scored a minimum of 29 on the ACT. · A semi-finalist or finalist in the National Achievement Scholarship competition is not required to have scored a minimum of 29 on the ACT. · Maximum grant $2,500 per academic year, not to exceed tuition and required fees. Application deadline is September 15th.
HELP – Higher Education Legislative Plan for Needy Students · Have graduated from high school within the immediate prior two years. · Be a resident of MS for two years prior to application deadline · Complete and return household verification form (used to document additional siblings under the age of 21). · Must attend university or college in Mississippi full-time · 2.5 GPA from high school · 20 ACT · Parent’s average adjusted income cannot exceed $36,500 for the past two years · Must demonstrate financial need as determined by the completion of the FAFSA · Have completed the specific high school core curriculum. · Deadline to apply is April 30th.

The deadline for entry is a postmark of January 2010. This scholarship is a non-renewable $1,000 award for the first year of undergraduate study at an approved accredited college or university. Luckyday Scholarships are awarded to exemplary students who meet the following requirements. •Be admitted to Ole Miss by the priority deadline of March 1. •Score 20 or higher on the ACT •Have a high school GPA of 3.2 or higher •Submit a complete application packet by the priority deadline of February 1. •Have remaining financial need after awarding of other scholarships and grants. •Complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). | Jennifer Neely Memorial Scholarship | Jennifer Neely Memorial Scholarship - offered to a graduating senior from Central Hinds Academy who enrolls in a community college or 4-year college after graduating from Central Hinds Academy. Apply between February 1 and April 1
About Jennifer Neely - Jennifer Neely worked tirelessly as a teacher in the Hinds County School system. Her love and dedication for educating all children inspired all who knew her and worked with her. She was extremely devoted to meeting the needs for all types of students. Her son Wes Neely is currently a 6th grade student at Central Hinds Academy and her husband, Brian, is a peewee football coach. Up to two yearly scholarships of $500 each will be awarded. This scholarship will be presented to one or two seniors in the graduating Class of 2010.
