* An atmosphere conducive to learning is necessary for students in grades K-12 to succeed.
* School experiences should teach each student personal responsibility and obligations as a contributing member of society.
* Self-discipline and independent creative thinking are encouraged.
* Assistance and encouragement to students are integral parts of the educational process.
*Our school should provide adequate extra-curricular activities for the development of physical, moral, social, athletic, artistic, and civic interests.

A Letter From Our Headmaster:
Central Hinds Academy currently serves students from throughout the Central Mississippi Area. CHA is conveniently located on Raymond/Bolton Road just outside of Raymond, MS. Central Hinds is easily accessible through Hwy 18 and I-20. The faculty, staff, administrators, and the board of directors are commited to academic excellence with an emphasis on Christian values and morals.

We are accredited by the MPSA with a level two status, which is the highest rating given. We are also a Southern Association of Colleges and Schools member, which means that we are SACS accreditation. Since 1970, Central Hinds Academy has served as a strong unit school for kindergarten (K-3) through grade twelve. Central Hinds is dedicated to helping all students attain their true potential in all facets of life.

The curriculum is reviewed and revised each year to ensure that the needs of our students are met. Classes are added or deleted from the class schedules depending on student requests and and changing graduation requirements. Our primary goal at CHA is to make every day a "Good Day To Learn".

We seek to give every student a Christian centered education that is also based on good citizenship and patriotism. The aggressive extra-curricula and co-curricula programs allow us to nurture our young people and promote the benefits of good sportsmanship and fair play. The faculty and staff are dedicated to seeing that every student achieves at their full potential, while making the extra effort needed to ensure individual success. Teachers prepare challenging lesson plans that are educational and informative for all class members.

Parents that have questions with regard to the operation or events of Central Hinds are encouraged to contact us via this website, by telephone, mail, fax, or personal visit. We have an open campus that encourages parent participation and involvement in all aspects of student life. We wish you well in the pursuit of a quality education for your child and hope that you will give us the opportunity to serve your student's needs.

May God bless you and your family!

Steven Harrell
Headmaster
